HELLO FROM LEXI LAWSON

Hi folks!!! Lexi Lawson here coming to you from below zero Buffalo, NY. Its soooooo colddddddd!!!! I'm currently in the car with Nicolette and Anthony driving around town. (They say hi!) I'm thrilled to announce that the cast is having such a fabulous time performing for you guys. The response from the audience is crazy! You guys are so supportive! I couldn't be more happier with how the show is going and how thankful I am that I have been embraced with open arms into this warm and wonderful RENT family. I'm learning so much from these amazingly talented actors every night and I couldn't ask for a better group of teachers. Again, I am extremely appreciative. Playing the role of Mimi is something that I dreamt about since I was in junior high school, so to be able to step into her shoes (specifically the infamous cheetah Mimi boots) is going to be a bit surreal for a long time to come- and did I mention that both you and I get to see Adam, Anthony, and Gwen work it out night after night! Ummmmmm wow. Ya'll are in for a big ol' delicious treat!!

On a side note a friend of mine from high school passed away this week due to cancer. He was so young but his spirit lives on. Please take a moment to tell your loved ones that you love them, hug your friends, stop fighting with your boyfriend or wife- cuz Love is the only thing that exists, everything else is just an illusion.

Xo,
Lexi

Thanks for the blog Lexi! I know I will enjoy as each of you take a turn to share your thoughts on the tour and what's happening in your life at the moment.

I saw you in Cleveland last week and you were awesome. I'm the one that didn't get to meet you, but feel lucky that I had the chance to see the show twice. I hope for another chance to see the show during the tour.

Sorry to hear about your friend. My thoughts and prayers are with you. --@ <3 Kristin

Lexi, I have heard nothing but outstanding things about you and your performance so far on the tour. I have to say that before the tour started I was only excited to see Adam, Anthony and Gwen, but now I have added you to the list. Several people have told me that you are the best Mimi to date and I am so excited for you.

I can't wait to see you in Charlotte! Stay well and best of luck! *hug*

Hey Lexi,
Thanks for the blog, I hope everything is well besides the deep freeze in Buffalo. I'm glad that you're enjoying the moments with Adam, Anthony and Gwen on the stage, having fun. I could understand why RENT is just so valuable should I say, to people because it have change so many lives including mine with Jonathan's words and his music. Like right now, I have an illness that I had more than a year, and I'm trying my hardest to get out as much I can like No Day but Today and appreciate the life I have even though I had some bumps along. But at least I have such great friends that I have online and at home here where I live, also my family who supports me along the way. Anyway, I just want to thank you, Adam, Anthony and Gwen to do this tour for those people who didn't really have the opportunity to see Adam and Anthony when they came back in 2007and now you can see what's like to be around with those guys who have been the original cast since 1996. I'm surely it's memorable for you to be Mimi in it and be part of the AMAZING cast. And I want you guys to break a leg for the rest of the tour, and I'm looking forward to see you, Adam, Anthony and Gwen in February! Stay warm!

Thanks for the blog Lexi! I got to see the show on Jan. 6th in Cleveland. It had been my 2nd time seeing the show ever, and was my last because I don't know if I'll have another chance on this last tour to see it again:(

I of course loved Adam and Anthony. But I have to agree with the many fans out there that are saying that you are their favorite Mimi to date-because its true. I really do believe you're a really amazing Mimi. You did an excellent job that first night of the tour, and I have faith that you're doing just as great or even better as the tour as been going on.

I'm sorry to hear about your friend. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and also your friend's family<3

Best of luck on the rest of the tour!!

Hi Lexi! Thanks for updating us on the tour. I saw you twice in Cleveland and you were awesome! You really are perfect for the part! I was in Buffalo last month, and I saw a building named "Adam's Mark" from the I-90 bridge. I thought it was kinda cool. lol Keep your eyes open next time you drive around the city. Anyway, I can tell from your post that you really understand the theme of the show. You really are doing us fans proud! Keep up the great work!!!

Lexi,
Saw the show twice in Buffalo, and you were nothing short of spectacular. Mimi is not an easy part to sing....and you made it seem effortless. Thanks to everyone for such a phenomenal show. I feel blessed and honored to have been there.

I just saw RENT last night, and I just wanted to say that it was my third time seeing it throughout the past couple of years, and it was definitely the best performance I've seen. The performance was extremely moving and the vocals were awesome from the beginning to the end. Thanks.

I got to see Rent for the first time Sunday 1/18 in Buffalo! A belated birthday present from my mom! What a week to get to be in Buffalo...the coldest of the winter! The show was absolutely amazing...I even caught my boyfriend (who doesn't really like "musicals") tapping his toes to the music! He had as good a time as I did! You were an awesome MIMI! Hope you had a great time in Buffalo! Come back to Buffalo soon! Don't worry it's not always this cold!

Thanks for posting from the road, Lexi. I simply cannot wait until April when I get to see the tour for the first time (this go around) in Chicago. Then, I'm set for a couple of shows when you come to me in St. Louis. SUPER EXCITED!!!!

On a serious note, I am terribly sorry for your loss. You are very right about telling all those important to us that we love them every day. Take care and we'll see you on the road!
